Partidas: spiceop18 partidas
A pesar de que creo ha sido una gran comparecencia la del GM Lázaro Bruzón en la edición del Spice Cup (Open) de este año creo que nuestro (hasta ahora) hombre número 2 de Cuba pudo hacer mucho más en la despedida y ganar determinadas partidas en las que la victoria se le fue de las manos. Es lógico esto, creo esté cansado, pero con un tiempo jugando a este nivel son detalles que irá superando. Bruzón culminó en los lugares del 3ero al 6to.
El GM Yuniesky Quesada terminó del 7mo al 11, con algunas partidas no muy brillantes aunque logró levantarse cada vez que cayó.

Se habla y maldice de los sitios web cubanos muchas veces sin conocimiento de causa. Pues sepan que el sitio oficial del Spice Cup ha tenido problemas disímiles desde su comienzo. No solo no emite información alguna a Chess-results desde hace meses… no solo la web de Susan Polgar no pone la tabla de posiciones y esta se desconoce… no solo pone los resultados y pareos en ficheros jpg haciéndome todo más difícil, no solo ha brindado unicamente el pgn de las partidas de la primera ronda, sino que ayer la ronda 4 se empezó a transmitir (sus únicos 6 primeros tableros como de costumbre pues tampoco el imperio bota el dinero tan fácil) casi una hora después y para colmo la ronda 5 solo transmitió la primera mesa, si es que los movimientos están bien pues la de Bruzón solo transmitió las primeras 9 con un error grave, del resto ni eso. ¿Y toda esta muela para qué Lenin? Pues sencillo, que no sé nada de la partida de Bruzón. Sólo que hizo tablas con su rival y que Yuniesky perdió.
Así que esta vez si hubo ruido, aunque bien raro y desagradable…

Mucho ruido y pocas nueces resultó la cuarta ronda para los cubanos Bruzón y Yuniesky.

Una ronda tranquila para Bruzón resultó la tercera, encarnada en su enfrentamiento frente al peruano (cubano por aplatanamiento) GM Emilio Córdova, en una repetición exacta de una partida jugada entre Leinier y el gran Carlsen en Linares del 20 de febrero del 2009 y que evidentemente ambos dominaban por lo que ninguno de los contendientes logró confundir a su contrario.
Evidentemente, Bruzón continúa su estado de gracia y, hoy con negras remató en 56 jugadas de una inglesa A28 [English: Four Knights, Romanishin Variation] al norteño Chandra, Akshat (2471).
